ALTAR GUILD
The Altar Guild is a ministry whose purpose is to support the clergy and, under the direction of the clergy, prepare the worship space and the holy vessels for the Eucharist services. Duties include: preparing the sanctuaries in Foundation Hall and the Chapel, caring for the sacred vessels, altar linens and vestments, and serving the clergy. Flowers, that have been donated for the altar in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving for a special blessing are arranged for the services and later distributed to members of the Parish at the direction of the clergy. Liturgical colours are changed in accordance with the traditions of the Anglican Church. Preparations for special services – such as Christmas, Easter, funerals, baptisms – are also the responsibility of the Altar Guild. We are blessed to have such dedicated parishioners who give of themselves and of their time to do this important work.
