Here at Christ Church Bells Corners we understand stewardship to be the faithful offering of all the blessings entrusted to us by God. This embraces every aspect of our lives: the use of our time, skills, energy, and money. We strive to give attention to this comprehensive view of stewardship. Time is taken for discerning prayerfully and thinking strategically about the ministry to which we have been called. At the same time, we also seek to put the resources - human, spiritual and financial - in place to ensure that we can realize this ministry.
CCBC has a 30-year history of biennial financial stewardship campaigns that have become a regular part of our parish life. Every two years each parish household is invited to intentionally consider their blessings and what they are able to offer to the ministry of Christ Church Bells Corners, mindful of all the priorities they seek to balance. Scripture calls people of faith to give of their bountiful blessing. Proportional giving is the offering of a percentage of your income for God's work in the world. Rather than giving what is left over, we are challenged to give first to God. Our parish has adopted this central teaching for personal financial stewardship.
Many parishioners make their offering through Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR), the transfer of pre-determined amounts from a household bank account to that of the church. For information about signing up for PAR, please contact the parish office or download and complete the PAR Application Form.
