The Mission and Outreach (M&O) Committee is a diverse and intergenerational group dedicated to serving the world God loves through financial support and hands-on ministry. Since 2004, 10% of ministry offerings have been allocated to the work of M&O allowing us to increase our capacity for furthering the cause of social justice and community service locally, nationally, and internationally.

Bales for the North Insert
Working with the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund and other non-governmental organizations, we participate each year in a partnership project. In 2005, we funded a playground for refugee children in the Palestinian village of Rantis. More recently, we have supported the work of The Rev. Dr. Carolyn Langford during her three-year placement as a Volunteer in Mission at Central Buganda University in Uganda. We are currently considering a project involving Canada's northern communities.
The financial support offered to local charities takes many forms, often contributions of a few hundred dollars to a wide range of agencies. We also make larger partnership grants to organizations with which we are actively involved with our time and talents. These include:
Ottawa West-End Community Chaplaincy - a ministry supported by 16 local churches providing pastoral and life skills programs to individuals living in subsidized housing.
FAMSAC - an ecumenical emergency food assistance program supported by local churches that has served the west end of Ottawa for over 35 years.
Refuge N.O.W. - working together, four west-end churches offer sponsorship, friendship and guidance to recently-arrived refugee families.
