Bishop Ordinary looks at military chaplaincy past and present, November 2010.

In an informal lecture at Christ Church Bells Corners on the eve of Remembrance Day, the Rt. Rev. Peter Coffin, Anglican Bishop Ordinary of the Canadian Forces, gave a brief history of the military chaplaincy right up to the present day.

Using photographs, he also introduced the audience to some of the chaplains currently serving at home and abroad wherever Canada's military is active.

Bishop Peter, who is teacher in residence at CCBC, also shared something of the ministry of the Bishop Ordinary in support of the chaplains wherever they are stationed.

In addition to displaying uniforms formerly worn by chaplains, Bishop Peter also displayed the prayer stole worn by the late Archdeacon Matt Roberts, who served as a chaplain in the Korean war, and after his retirement was an honorary assistant at CCBC.
